HOW IT PLAYS.
VIP Whale accepts additional Tributes for its face-up Tribute Summon and receives a counter for each monster Tributed. Each counter can fund a Quick Effect coin call against an opposing card or effect. A correct call negates the effect; a wrong call halves Whale’s original ATK for the turn. Its response capacity therefore depends on counters and successful calls.
